This year we decided that we wanted to do a bit more for the environment. So we brainstormed some ideas and we chose to start a worm farm in our school. We had to ask for some help from out local council and community. Our wonderful caretaker helped us make the frame for our farm to go in. The worms have been thriving in their new home, eating through the schools fruit scraps. Feel free to ask questions if you want to know a little more.

Hi Room 6, I was wondering if room 24 would be able to come and take a look at your worm farm? Would you be able to talk to my year ones about the worms and how they make 'worm tea'? Mrs Hartley

hi its beth and brie here we are from rm6 red beach school. if you have seen the worm farm photos we hope you want to start up your own worm farm and help the enviroment like red beach school.did you know that 50% of our school waste goes to the worms so we have been having absolutely no rubbish lying around our school. how about that. would you like that to happen to your school. the whole school has been enjoying having the worm farm. we have had a worm farm lady in from the council she said it was going really well. we made her a book and she was really impressed so it proved that we were worthy for the money we borrowed. we also have worm farm moniters that go out and collect the worms lunch . Beth is a worm farm moniter and it really cool seeing the worms we hope you enjoyed our blog if you want to ask questions just post a comment and rm 6 will answer you. Beth and Brie from rm 6 Red beach school
